English Language and Rugby Programme (Homestay) — Dublin

Centre of English Studies (CES) • Dublin, Ireland • Onsite

About this program

Ireland is one of the world's great rugby nations, and this two-week summer programme lets young sports enthusiasts experience the game on Irish soil while simultaneously building their English skills. Students aged 14–17 attend 15 hours of English lessons each week and then spend four afternoons training under qualified rugby coaches — learning technique, tactics and the teamwork that defines the sport. All language levels are welcome, from absolute beginner to upper-intermediate. Accommodation is with a host family on full board, so the immersion continues long after training ends. The programme runs during two fixed weeks in mid-July and requires a minimum of eight participants. A genuinely unique combination of language learning and sporting passion in the home of European rugby tradition.
